Apples.

Nice bright, red, juicy-looking, round, tennis-ball-shaped, shiny.

Smooth, silky, hard, wet.

Crunch!

Sharp, hard, solid, sounds like chips, scrumptious, tender.

Mouth watering - it makes me want some more!

Te Whare Tapa Wha.

Buddy-by V.M Jones.

1938 - by Pastor Niemoller (Germany)

1938

‘First they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out-
Because I was not a Jew.
`
Then they came for the communists
And I did not speak out-
Because I was not communists.

Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out-
Because I was not a trade unionists.

Then they came for me-
And there was no one left
To speak out for me.

April Rain Song - by Langston Hughes.

April Rain Song

Let the rain kiss you.
Let the rain beat upon your head.
With silver liquid drops.
Let the rain sing you a lullaby.

The rain makes still pools
on the sidewalk.
The rain makes running pools
in the gutter.
The rain play's a little sleep-song

on our roof at night-
And I love the rain.

Robber Cat - by Joy Cowley.

Robber Cat

Sly old robber Fattyface
Has magnets on her paws
For opening kitchen cupboards
And refrigerator doors.

She robs a house then vanishes,
All the owner sees
Are pawprints in the butter
And toothmarks in the cheese.

Daydream- by A.S.J Tessimond.

Daydream

One day people will touch and talk perhaps easily.
And loving be natural as breathing and warm as sunlight,
And people will untie themselves,
as string is unknotted,
Unfold and yawn and stretch and spread their fingers,
Unfurl, uncurl like seaweed returned to the sea,
And work will be simple and swift as a seagull flying,
And play will be casual and quiet as a seagull settling,
And the clocks will stop,
an no one will wonder or care or notice,
And people will smile without reason,
even in winter,
even in rain.

Mice.

Mice

I think mice Are rather nice.
Their tails are long, Their faces small.
They haven’t any chins at all.
Their ears are pink, their teeth are white,
They run about the house at night. They nibble things
They shouldn’t touch And no one seems
To like them much.
But I think mice Are nice.

Fantastic Friends.

Fantastic Friends

The incredible Hulk came to tea.
Robbin was with him too,
Batman stayed at home that night
because his bat had the flu.

Superman called to say hello
And spider man spun us a joke.
The Human Torch was suppose to come
but he went up in smoke.

The invisible Man might have called,
But as I wasn’t sure,
I left an empty chair and bun
Beside the kitchen door.

They signed my autograph book.
But I dropped it in the fire.
Now whenever i tell my friends

They say I’m a terrible liar.

The incredible people do call round
(‘Specially when I’m alone)
And if they don’t and I get bored,
I call them in the phone.

ANZAC Day.

ANZAC Day.
ANZAC Day was not a public holiday in New Zealand until 1921.
April 25, Anzac Day, was the day the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula in 1915.
We honour our soldiers by dawn parades and poppies.

These are the people who went to the Dawn Parade.
They made the wrench to honour the soldiers.
